About Paul Blum & Blumfotos.com
Inviting You into My Visual Journey
Hello and welcome to Blumfotos.com. I'm Paul Blum, and I invite you to join me on my photographic journey—a journey that began with a simple Brownie Box camera that once belonged to my mother.
Do you remember those childhood moments that leave a lasting impression? For me, my mother's Brownie Box camera was one of those moments. It was my first introduction to the captivating world of photography.
During a family trip to Austria, a Canon FTb camera became a pivotal tool in my life. Beyond its technical prowess, it felt like a paintbrush in the hands of a budding artist.
Fresh out of college and still exploring my career options, I found myself working in a photography studio. The experience of developing film in a darkroom was both challenging and immensely rewarding, deepening my passion for the craft.
While managing my professional commitments, photography has always been my sanctuary—a place for quiet reflection and artistic expression.
I've always relied on my instincts when taking photos. It's not just about f-stops and shutter speeds; it's about capturing those fleeting moments that make you pause and appreciate everyday beauty.
After years of sharing my work informally online, I received enough encouragement to realise it was time to share these captured moments more widely. And thus, Blumfotos.com was born.
As you navigate through this site, I hope you discover something that resonates with you, something that ignites your own sense of wonder.
